Christmas 2010

This December was a busy one for us but we had a lot of fun with a lot of family. To start things off we had to get our tree and decorations up! Lucas and Lauren came over to help. It is always an exciting experience for us to get a Christmas tree put up.
Lucas and Lauren got married on December 17th and with that family started flowing into town. We were able to be with Lauren and she received her endowment in the Provo temple on the 16th. It was neat to be there with so much family. After Lucas and Lauren left on their honeymoon we had some fun hanging out with the family that was still in town. Lee's parents, Caleb, Isabella, Lee's aunt and uncle and their kids. Some of them had not been in Salt Lake during Christmas before so it was fun to be with them seeing the lights and the narrated nativity for the first time. Unfortunately we did not get any pictures hanging out with Lee's family. This is one picture of the temple that I got while hanging out with them.
On Christmas eve we gathered with my family at my parents house. That is, my family that live in Utah. Here are a few pictures of us opening our traditional Christmas eve pajamas and games. We had a lot of fun playing those games that night.

Lee and I then went home and had a nice morning opening our presents to each other. After we did that we joined the family at Amy's apartment for family gift giving and breakfast. This is a picture of our tree Christmas morning.
I had to work in the afternoon on Christmas Day then the next morning we left for Illinois. Lucas and Lauren had a reception out there and we hadn't been out there for a long time anyway so it worked out great for us to go. We got to see more of Lee's extended family, also Rick and his family and Wendy and her family. Once again we were not good at getting pictures while hanging out with them. One thing we did do while we were there was go to Carthage and Nauvoo. The rest of the pictures are from that trip.
